Michael Grant (Mighty Mike) is an individual who has a tremendous love for writing and breaking down the meanings of words. His inclination to explain things thoroughly is a result of being frustrated in his early years by not understanding various things that he needed to know, be it in school, in the Word, or in life in general.
It was through being discouraged that Mike’s style of writing benefitted, in that he became a writer who loves to impart words of encouragement, empowerment, and edification.
There were many times when Mike was overwhelmed with discouragement, but the Lord told him to look beyond his feelings and focus on his function, to look beyond his sentiments and focus on WHY he was sent, to look beyond his pain and focus on his purpose.
It was in high school that a very good friend of his, who did not know that Mike was in search of a nickname, began to call him “Mighty Mike”. And he held on to this nickname.
Although Mike is a graduate of Florida A & M University with a bachelors in Business Administration, his first love is writing.
It was also in high school that his same friend was asking some questions in class, and to Mike’s amusement, his friend articulated that he was trying to get the full understanding. Mike considered this to be a brilliant line and held on to it and used it himself.
Mike finds encouragement in striving to help people get the full understanding through his expository writing, endeavoring earnestly to explain things so that the readers do not have to experience the confusion that many times brought frustration to him.
